Dental Cleanings

Routine dental cleanings and home tooth brushing is the mainstay of oral health. We recommend performing a dental cleaning on your pet yearly. However, depending on the condition of your pet's mouth, more frequent intervals may be needed.

A dental cleaning includes an oral examination, ultrasonic scaling of the teeth, polishing of the teeth, full mouth charting, OraVet (plaque repellent) application and digital dental x-rays if needed.

At home dental care is important to maintain your pet’s overall good oral health. Our staff will be happy to have a one-on-one demonstration with you to assist with your success in your pet’s at home dental care. We recommend tooth brushing with toothpaste made specifically for pets, Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC) approved treats and OraVet home care kits.
